As a Sr. Civil Engineer at SBE, you’ll join a multidisciplinary team working on complex infrastructure and hydraulic engineering projects such as bridges, tunnels, quay walls, locks, harbors, and industrial structures. In this role, your focus will be on concrete structures , and you’ll contribute your technical expertise from concept design to execution.

Your responsibilities may include :

Designing, analyzing, and verifying structural elements (strength, stability, deformation, connections, etc.).

Preparing clear and well-substantiated calculation reports.

Collaborating closely with BIM engineers to ensure the 3D models reflect the structural logic and can be feasibly constructed.

Coaching junior engineers and reviewing their work.

Communicating proactively with the project manager regarding deadlines and planning.

Participating in project meetings with clients and stakeholders, exchanging feedback and ideas.

Sharing your expertise via our internal knowledge platform and engaging in peer discussions.

Your profile

We value the person behind the CV. However, the following background will help you thrive in this role :

You hold a Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

You have at least 8 years of experience in large-scale structural or infrastructure projects.

You have a genuine passion for engineering and technical depth, and you enjoy continuous learning.

You work analytically, precisely, and methodically.

You’re a team player with a proactive mindset.

You’re familiar with structural design software and modeling tools.

You speak English fluently, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

You’re willing to travel to Belgium a few times a year according to project needs.
