Job summary

Sulzer in Spain is seeking a Senior Application Tendering Engineer to strengthen our Business Support team. You will prepare technical and commercial proposals for configurable equipment across diverse projects, supporting the sales process with expert technical input.

You will collaborate with sales, product managers and manufacturing sites to ensure accurate specifications, competitive pricing and high-quality tender submissions, driving business growth in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Environmental, Chemical or related discipline.
• 2–5 years in tendering, application engineering or technical sales support in the water sector.
• Proficient in English (B2+) and Spanish/Portuguese language skills beneficial.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently with multinational teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial tender proposals for configurable equipment and engineering solutions.
• Support the sales process from lead generation through negotiation with technical and commercial input.
• Analyse customer requirements, perform sizing calculations and recommend optimal solutions.
• Develop quotations and commercial offers using configuration tools and Salesforce.
• Coordinate with customers, sales teams, product managers and manufacturing sites.
• Maintain opportunities, accounts and project data in Salesforce and related systems.
• Contribute to process improvements of quotation tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to update technical/commercial docs.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the sales process by preparing technical and commercial proposals for configurable equipment and engineering solutions across a wide range of customer projects.As a trusted technical partner, you will work closely with sales teams, customers, product managers, and manufacturing sites to ensure accurate equipment selection, competitive pricing, and high-quality tender submissions.
