The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in a STEM field with at least two years of experience in relevant technologies.

Formación

  • Master's degree in STEM fields and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem and cloud services.

About the role

We are seeking a Big Data Engineer experienced in designing, building, and managing applications to process large data volumes on Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on sourcing and integrating structured and unstructured data into a data lake.
  • Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to develop solutions for a next-generation Big Data analytics platform.
  • Focus on data streaming, management, quality, security, and system delivery for large data volumes, supporting data scientists in company strategies and marketing campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in cloud PaaS, CaaS, IaaS, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with DWH and Big Data cloud services like Data Fusion, Data Flow, BigQuery.
  • Proficiency with Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Hive/Impala, HBase, Yarn).
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, and/or Python; knowledge of functional languages is a plus.
  • Experience with Unix-based systems and bash scripting.
  • Familiarity with distributed technologies, Docker/Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-code, and pipeline orchestration with Airflow.
  • SQL experience, preferably with BigQuery, and knowledge of EDW solutions.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab/Github, Nexus.
  • Agile work experience, good communication skills, and fluency in English.
  • Additional skills in Terraform, Ansible, scripting languages, Kafka, SDLC practices are a plus.
  • Master’s degree in STEM fields and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
