Vodafone Group Plc is seeking a Cloud and AI Data Solutions Architect to lead end-to-end design of secure, scalable data platforms across multi-cloud environments in Spain. You will model data for value, design AI architectures, and establish data mesh contracts while embedding FinOps and governance across projects.

The role requires senior-level experience in hybrid/multi-cloud data platforms, IaC (Terraform), and strong communication with stakeholders.

• Understand business requirements to provide data in line with IT strategy and business needs.
• ETL development experience and data integration skills.
• Cloud migration and transformation experience across hybrid/multi-cloud.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI & EU AI Act and AI governance.
• End-to-end design of scalable data platforms in hybrid/multi-cloud.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and cloud security best practices.
• FinOps experience including cost forecasting and rightsizing.
• Experience leading cloud migrations from Teradata/Oracle to modern clouds.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field and continuous learning.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.

About this RoleThe AIDA tower is a strategic unit focused on helping local markets migrate and optimize their cloud solutions. We are seeking a Cloud and Ai Data Solutions Architect to lead the end-to-end design of secure, scalable, and highly optimized data platforms across a multi-cloud environment. This role requires a strategic vison to explain to all the stakeholders the complex architectural designs and guide the team to create a solution.The Cloud AI Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing the architecture of Cloud and AI solutions that align with Vodafone's strategic goals with a clear focus on scalability, robustness, security, modular and reusable components. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to reach the aforementioned objectives.What you’ll doKey accountabilities and decision ownership:Understand the data, and how to model them inside the BI environment to create values from information, ensuring data qualityDesign and implement AI architectures that align with Vodafone's strategic goals.Design and implement decentralized data mesh architectures, establishing robust data contracts to verify formats, ensure data quality, and prevent unnecessary data replication.Ensure the scalability, efficiency, and security of cloud and AI solutions.Effort Estimation & Roadmapping: Drive the technical feasibility analysis and provide high-level effort estimations (resource, time, and complexity) for local market cloud migrations, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget constraintsEstablish new data interaction patterns for complex multi-cloud environments, such as optimizing direct cloud-to-cloud data movement to enhance latency and reduce costs.Embed FinOps principles directly into the technical design phase, ensuring that cost efficiency is a conscious consideration and a critical metric for business value.Design and govern AI Booster-based solutions, defining scalable cloud architectures, CI/CD patterns, security controls, and deployment strategies to enable AI and GenAI use cases across VodafoneAct as the bridge between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and platform owners, translating business requirements into production-ready AI solutions while ensuring compliance, governance, and operational readiness.Proven technical pre-sales and solutioning skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into high-level cloud architecture proposals, effort estimations, and ROI-driven solutions.Work with business users to ensure we can support and anticipate company's data needs.AI-Driven Architecture: Design and implement AI-powered data solutionsWho you areCore competencies, knowledge and experience:Understand business requirements to enhance the systems and provide the necessary data in the best way according to the IT strategy and the business needs.ETL developmentCloud migration and transformationGood understanding of Responsible AI & Ethical AI frameworks, EU AI Act.
