Formación

• Mínimo 7 años de experiencia en auditoría interna o contabilidad.

In Spain, we have had a strong presence since 1990, with more than 80 offices nationwide.

Currently, for one of our offices in Barcelona, we are looking for a Auditor Intern with experience in managing, evaluating, and optimizing internal systems and processes to ensure the proper functioning of the company's operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, identifying risks, and assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, as well as providing support in the continuous improvement of operational processes and procedures.

Your Mission:

As an Internal Auditor at Engel & Völkers Spain, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our business processes in Spain and South America. You will conduct independent and objective audits, identify risks, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal control systems.

The focus of the position Internal Auditor is on conducting audit assignments on behalf of the Corporate Audit division for the subsidiary Engel & Völkers Spain located in Barcelona. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and communication skills, an international mindset, and the ability to think and act strategically. The willingness to travel nationally and internationally is a key requirement.

The future jobholder will report directly to the Corporate Audit division (Germany) as well as to the CFO Spain and will act as a control body and sparring partner at eye level with managers at every level.

Responsibilities

1. Conducting Audits

Conduct risk-based audits within the scope of the audit universe for Iberia and South America.

1. Develop and optimize efficient audit approaches and programs.
2. Continuously monitor and evaluate assigned audit areas.
3. Gather and analyze audit evidence through interviews, observations, document reviews, and data analysis.
4. Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

Ensure the organization adheres to local regulations, as well as internal policies.

1. Propose new operational policies and procedures and review existing ones.

Reporting and Documentation

Prepare clear and concise audit reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations for corrective actions.

1. Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions.
2. Ensure thorough and traceable documentation of audit activities.

Recommend improvements to internal controls, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.

1. Provide advisory services to management on risk mitigation and business process improvement.

Minimum Requirements

1. Min. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (major in Accounting, Finance, Auditing), Business Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
2. 7 years minimum of experience in internal auditing, accounting, or a related field (Big four accounting firm experience is desirable but not required).
3. National and international experience in auditing (financial audits, operational audits etc.) and risk management, preferably in companies with high regulatory requirements.
4. Strong knowledge of auditing standards, principles, and methodologies.
5. Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and corporate governance practices.
6. Knowledge of audit software, accounting systems, and data analysis tools.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Attention to detail with the ability to identify key risks and control weaknesses.
9. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
10. Ability to interact effectively and goal-oriented with all levels of the organization.
11. Languages: Castellano, English (business fluent), additional languages are an advantage.
12. Travel requirements: up to 50% (national plus international to South America).
