Job Description: Technical Sales and Product Manager Food Ingredients

We are looking for a Technical Sales and Product Manager Food Ingredients.

You will sell Food Ingredients to the Food Industry and source Food Ingredients from our suppliers.

Location & Area
  • Sales area: Madrid Area, central part of Spain
  • Position will be office-based in Madrid, with up to 6 days of home office possible
  • Main activity involves visiting clients
About Our Client

Our client is an international Ingredients distributor.

Candidate Profile
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in Food Ingredients or non-FMCG products
Key Responsibilities

The job holder primarily oversees the expansion of business with existing customers, as well as the identification and exploration of new markets and customers in the food market in Spain.

Tasks
  • Knowledge of industrial food customers in Spain
  • Technical and commercial knowledge of cereals in all their forms, grains, flours, flakes, etc., will be an asset
  • Customer & supplier relationship management: establishing and maintaining relationships
  • Portfolio management: identifying opportunities and supplementing product offerings
  • Market and competition analysis: understanding customer needs, assessing competitors, and identifying new opportunities
  • Act as Product Manager for various product ranges and/or suppliers, managing relationships and purchases
  • Negotiation with suppliers
Requirements
  • Degree in Food Technology or Food Chemistry (must-have)
  • Ability to solve technological problems and passion for food product development
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • High willingness to travel
  • Very organized, reliable, and positive attitude
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
  • Valid driving license
