Job summary

ICON is seeking a Site Specialist II in Barcelona, Spain, to support clinical trial sites across Spain, focusing on startup, activation and ongoing site management.

You will work independently across sites, ensuring regulatory activities, documentation and timelines are managed accurately in line with EU CTR and GCP practices, with opportunities to mentor junior colleagues.

The role offers flexible office/home-based arrangements and a pathway to contribute to international trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related discipline.
• Experience in site activation, start-up, or regulatory activities.
• Hands-on EU CTR experience.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Understanding of GCP and trial documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate collection and review of essential site documentation.
• Support site start-up and regulatory activities per EU CTR.
• Serve as operational contact for Spanish investigator sites.
• Track site milestones and actions in trial management systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve site issues.
• Identify delays and drive follow-up.
