Job summary

NCC Group in Madrid, Spain, is seeking a People Partner Advisor to provide practical, locally informed People support to leaders, managers and colleagues in Spain and Portugal. This role is part-time (3 days a week, 0.6 FTE) and reports to the Associate Director, People Partnering, with direction from the European Lead.

You will manage local employee relations, liaise with the local trade union, and help ensure compliance with Spanish and Portuguese employment laws while delivering the local

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Advisor or junior People Partner providing local support in Spain/Portugal.
• Practical knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese employment law and local practices.
• Experience managing employee relations and supporting managers through fair processes.
• Ability to work with trade unions and conduct consultation activity.
• Delivery of cyclical People processes and local People Plan actions.
• Organised with attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
• Discretion and professionalism with sensitive colleague information.
• Clear communication with managers, colleagues, union reps and HR specialists.
• Fluent Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience using HR systems and generating reporting from People data.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the local People Plan for Spain and Portugal and track progress.
• Provide first-line People advice to managers and colleagues.
• Manage local employee relations cases and maintain records.
• Liaise with local trade unions and support collective activity.
• Identify local priorities and risks with the European Lead.
• Ensure compliance with Spanish employment law and governance.
• Monitor developments and coordinate changes with legal and HR teams.
• Support onboarding, probation, contracts, absence and leave locally.
• Coordinate annual pay reviews and performance processes locally.
• Collaborate with People Ops, Payroll, Talent and other functions.
• Maintain accurate People data and reporting to spot trends.
