Job summary

ICEYE in Valencia, Spain is seeking an experienced Thermal & Harness AIT Engineer to ensure the thermal and electrical integrity of our satellite constellation. You will perform hands-on assembly, integration, and testing on harness routing, MLI installation, and verification, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and design teams.

You will own production issues on the shop floor and contribute to DFMA/DFT initiatives to improve reliability and quality before launch.

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on experience in development, integration, testing, or production of spacecraft hardware.
Deep knowledge of harness manufacturing, routing standards, and thermal control materials including MLI.
Familiar with integration, verification, production ramp-up, and configuration management processes.
Understanding of EMI/EMC principles for aerospace cabling and harness design.
Systems engineering mindset; able to resolve issues across mechanical, thermal, and electrical interfaces.
Experience enabling DFM and DFT in a production environment.
Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Assemble, route, and secure satellite electrical harnesses per standards, addressing EMI/EMC considerations.
Install and verify MLI and thermal protection systems to spec.
Conduct alignment and verification of mechanical and thermal hardware across production activities.
Serve as the primary contact for technical issues during harness routing and thermal assembly.
Collaborate with EMI/EMC teams to optimise harness routing and shielding solutions.
Identify process issues and drive continuous improvement of thermal and harness workflows.
Represent AIT Engineering across projects on mechanical and thermal interfaces.
