A leading technology firm in Madrid seeks a Solutions Engineer to lead pre-sales activities and support the Sales team. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of technical pre-sales experience and strong communication skills, with bilingual fluency in Spanish and English. Position

The Solutions Engineer is responsible for leading technical qualification, demonstrations, and value illustration. Working closely with strategic sellers, the Solutions Engineer leverages their technical expertise to evangelize our products and solutions, accurately address business challenges, and play a pivotal role in achieving technical wins and closing deals.

What you will do

  1. Serve as the technical subject matter expert throughout the sales process, managing pre-sales activities including technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concept projects.
  2. Collaborate with the Sales team, jointly owning the sales cycle and account planning.
  3. Drive deeper engagement into the account by identifying additional resource requirements, customer alternatives, and internal sponsors.
  4. Understand and document customer business and technical requirements, creating value-based proposals that address business drivers and pain points, guiding the sales cycle towards a technical and business win.
  5. Build strong relationships with key contacts in the partner ecosystem, working with Channel Sales to strengthen partner relationships and enable product and solution training to drive opportunities to close.

What makes you an ideal candidate

  • Ideally 5-7 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role, with a solid understanding of enterprise sales cycles and selling motions.
  • Domain knowledge in at least two disciplines such as AIOps, Digital Experience, Cloud Observability, Network Observability, Infrastructure Observability, or Application Observability.
  • A strong understanding of Networking and/or Observability technologies like SNMP, Flow, Packet Capture, TCP Fundamentals, Routing & Switching, Virtualization, SD-WAN, Cloud environments, and Applications.
  • Strong communication skills to present virtually and in person, tell compelling stories, win followers, and translate complex technical designs into business outcomes.
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise data center and cloud architectures from an operational perspective.
  • Proactive project management skills to handle multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
  • Sales orientation, with the ability to negotiate, influence outcomes, close deals, and win new business.
  • High trust factor, capable of handling objections, questions, and counter-statements.
  • A team player who proactively supports stakeholders including sales, professional services, support, project managers, R&D, and executives.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Location in Madrid or Barcelona.
