About the Field Engineering team

As a Field Engineer, you will engage with customers throughout their journey with Dataiku, from initial evaluations to enterprise deployments, assisting in designing, building, validating, and operating Data Science and AI Platforms.

Impact you will make

This role demands strong technical skills, adaptability, creativity, and excellent communication. You will work with traditional big data systems like SQL warehouses and innovative tools such as Spark on Kubernetes, cloud compute engines, and GPUs. Staying at the forefront of big data and AI, while maintaining enterprise system knowledge, is key.

Expected outcomes:

• Assess customer requirements for scalability, availability, and security; provide architecture recommendations.
• Deploy Dataiku across diverse environments (SaaS, Kubernetes, Spark, Cloud, on-premise).
• Collaborate with Revenue and Customer teams to ensure a consistent customer experience.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to ensure technical success.

Requirements for success:

• Experience with at least one cloud service (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience for setup, troubleshooting, and tuning.
• Familiarity with deployment tools like Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Experience with cloud Data Warehouses and Data Lakes (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Business-level Spanish proficiency (written and spoken).
• Some Python experience.
• Persistence when facing technical challenges.
• Confidence in client interactions.
• Ability to work pre- and post-sale.

Preferred skills:

• Knowledge of Data Science or machine learning.
• Experience with Spark ecosystem.
• Understanding of authentication systems like AAD, IAM, LDAP.
