A leading biotechnology firm is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect Engineer to design cloud-based software solutions compliant with FDA and CE standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure and scalable architecture, ensuring effective machine learning integration. A background in MedTech and proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS or Azure are essential. Bilingual candidates are preferred as strong communication in English and Spanish is necessary for this position.

Formación

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect Engineer to lead the design and deployment of cloud-based software as a service solution that is compliant with FDA and CE certifications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud architecture , machine learning , and regulatory requirements in the medical device industry. You will join a motivated team committed to high-impact work in the field of precision medicine. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, compliance, data science, and IT to design scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions leveraging AI / ML technologies for our medical products.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP), preferably in MedTech or regulated industries.
• Experience with FDA, GDPR, and CE certification compliance in solution deployment.
• Hands-on experience deploying machine learning models in production and integrating into cloud-based medical products.
• Proficiency with CI / CD pipelines, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of security standards like HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST frameworks for healthcare data.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Architecture : Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for MedTech solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Secure Development & Data Privacy : Incorporate security and privacy best practices into development processes, meeting MedTech regulatory standards.

Machine Learning Integration (MLOps) : Collaborate with data science teams to integrate AI / ML models, optimizing performance and compliance.

Cloud Security : Implement protocols like HIPAA, NIST, HITRUST to protect medical data.

Automation & CI / CD Pipelines : Lead deployment automation and management in a regulated environment.

Collaboration & Leadership : Work with engineering, product, quality, and regulatory teams to align solutions with business and compliance goals.

Vendor & Partner Management : Oversee cloud service providers and partners to meet security and performance standards.

Documentation & Quality Assurance : Maintain technical documentation to support audits and regulatory submissions.

Stay Updated : Keep abreast of emerging cloud, AI / ML, and regulatory developments, recommending new tools and practices.

Additional Requirements

Proficiency in English and Spanish.

Experience with FDA Precert Program and SaMD development is a plus.

Certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar are desirable.

Knowledge of ISO standards, HIPAA, GDPR, and similar regulations is advantageous.
