A leading global pharmaceutical innovator is seeking a Solution Architect in Madrid, Spain. This high-impact role involves leading digital clinical operations architecture and guiding technical strategy while supporting implementation. Ideal candidates have strong experience in regulated environments, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in cloud technologies. The position offers a hybrid work model with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.

This is a high-impact role where architecture meets real-world innovation. You’ll shape the vision, guide technical strategy, and keep their clinical tech ecosystem scalable, compliant, and future-ready, while staying close enough to the code to support when needed.
What you’ll be doing - Leading solution architecture for digital clinical operations - Building and maintaining architectural roadmaps, vision, and standards - Driving integration and consistency across platforms and systems - Acting as a strategic partner to clinical leadership and technical teams - Supporting POCs, troubleshooting, and guiding implementation decisions - Managing lifecycle topics like obsolescence, new app approvals, and decommissioning
Must-haves - Strong experience as a
Solution Architect
in large-scale or regulated environments - Excellent communicator, able to move between high-level vision and technical deep dives - Fluent

this is essential for stakeholder alignment across global teams - Solid cloud experience :
AWS preferred–
Azure or GCP
cloud knowledge is transferable - Familiarity with modern data platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery, along with working knowledge of SQL, Python, and GitHub - A proactive, strategic mindset, someone who can drive architecture while enabling others
Nice to have - Background in
