Solutions Engineer - Thermal Management Systems Company Overview

Position Summary
We are seeking a technical Solutions Engineer to serve as the primary technical liaison between Neurair and our customers for thermal management and cooling distribution unit (CDU) solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing skills to translate complex customer requirements into optimized secondary loop cooling solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Requirements Analysis
- Conduct detailed technical discussions with customers to understand their thermal management challenges, operational constraints, and performance objectives
- Perform site assessments and evaluate existing infrastructure to identify integration requirements and limitations
- Collaborate with customer engineering teams to gather comprehensive system specifications including heat loads, space constraints, environmental conditions, and reliability requirements
- Document and translate customer needs into detailed technical specifications for internal engineering teams
CDU Specification and Selection
Analyze customer thermal profiles and cooling requirements to specify appropriate cooling distribution unitsEvaluate and recommend CDU configurations including capacity, redundancy levels, fluid types, and control systemsPerform thermal calculations and modeling to validate CDU sizing and performance predictionsCoordinate with product engineering teams to customize CDU specifications when standard solutions are insufficientSecondary Loop Solution Design
Design comprehensive secondary loop cooling architectures that integrate seamlessly with customer facilities and equipmentDevelop system layouts including piping design, pump selection, heat exchanger sizing, and control system architectureCreate detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for proposed solutionsConduct thermal and hydraulic analysis to optimize system performance and efficiencyTechnical Support and Project Management
Serve as the primary technical point of contact throughout the sales cycle and project implementationPrepare technical proposals, presentations, and documentation for customer reviewSupport installation teams and provide technical guidance during system commissioningTroubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal system performanceRequired Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, thermal management, HVAC systems, or industrial cooling applicationsStrong understanding of heat transfer principles, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamicsExperience with cooling distribution units, secondary loop systems, and liquid cooling technologiesProficiency in engineering design software (CAD, thermal modeling tools, hydraulic analysis software)Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiencesCustomer-facing experience in technical sales or applications engineering rolesPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering disciplineExperience with data center cooling, industrial process cooling, or precision thermal management applicationsKnowledge of industry standards and codes related to cooling systems and building infrastructureProject management experience and familiarity with project management toolsProfessional engineering license or relevant technical certificationsSkills and Competencies
