You will experience these qualities of passion, pride and aspiration in many ways — from a rich set of career development programs to support of community service projects to social events that foster fun and relationship building across our global community.

The Role

AspenTech is a leading supplier of software that optimizes process manufacturing – including oil and gas, petroleum, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other industries that manufacture and produce products from a chemical process. With integrated aspenONE solutions, process manufacturers can implement best practices for optimizing their engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. As a result, AspenTech customers are better able to increase capacity, improve margins, reduce costs, and become more energy efficient.

We are seeking an Advanced Process Control (APC) Solution Enablement Director (Global Practice Director) either from within our organization or externally. The major responsibilities include working closely with our Enterprise Solution Consultants (ESCs) and/or Regional Solution Consultants (SCs) to provide solution and service execution plans, including large, integrated solutions that incorporate APC. The role also involves collaborating with Professional Services, Product Management, and the Partner Group. This person will confirm the scope, deliverables, and timeline of all APC proposals and be responsible for their approval in SalesForce.

This is a unique position for an exceptional engineer to take on a high-visibility, global role supporting both internal organizational needs and working closely with customers and deployment partners using our suite of modeling, advanced process control, and optimization technologies.

Your Impact
  • Primarily working with Aspen DMC3 and Batch APC software solutions.
  • Building solution credibility by gathering data, documenting, and summarizing client requirements, and addressing business process issues that AspenTech solutions will solve.
  • Assisting the sales organization and Services management in preparing and delivering complex bids and proposals.
  • Supporting growth of the APC business in GACV and Services Bookings.
  • Supporting project teams and partners to ensure project milestones, delivery dates, and financial goals are met.
  • Maintaining and extending client satisfaction levels and developing opportunities for additional APC solutions.
  • Collaborating with the extended AspenTech team in Sales, Support, CSM, R+D, and Partners for successful project delivery.
  • Working with the Partner Group and being responsible for the technical assessment of DSP applicants and deployment resources, using the WINS process.
  • Participating in new product launches within the APC practice.
  • Traveling internally approximately two trips per quarter.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or extensive hands-on operations experience in chemical or refinery industries.
  • 15+ years of overall experience.
  • Experience with Advanced Process Control (APC) is required.
  • Fast learner with motivation to learn new technologies.
  • Team player with good customer relations skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to obtain corporate AMEX and travel globally.
