We are looking for a Solution Architect with experience in MS Cloud technologies for an EU agency in Amsterdam. This position is 100% on-site.

Tasks and responsibilities :

1. Lead the creation and review of end-to-end domain architecture and processes to support the strategic requirements of the business. Identify the business benefits of alternative strategies.
2. Ensure compliance between business strategies, enterprise architecture, and technology directions, setting strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
3. Develop and present business cases for high-level initiatives and approvals.
4. Create and communicate multiple design views to identify and balance the concerns of all stakeholders of the domain design, allowing for both functional and non-functional requirements. Identify and evaluate alternative design options and trade-offs.
5. Ensure that domain architecture decisions are justified and documented. Assess and manage associated risks.
6. Ensure that platforms and components selected for delivery of a domain-specific solution are integrated to achieve domain objectives.
7. Provide effort/cost estimates and work breakdown structures.
8. Present domain architecture to governance bodies, address resulting architectural actions, and participate in overall IT governance structures.
9. Collaborate closely with architects in developing solutions by applying the agency's architectural principles.
10. Partner with Platform Architects from the Strategic Platforms (ISP) department to assess and optimize domain functional requirements and augment with technical requirements from the platform architecture.
11. Partner with the Enterprise Architect from the CIO Office to ensure the domain architecture aligns with the broader enterprise architecture.
12. Partner with Customer Portfolio Leads from the Customer Advocacy Department (ICA) to assess and incorporate business needs and requirements into technical solutions and platform architecture.
13. Contribute to solution testing and identify potential improvements to domain solutions and strategic platforms according to agreed designs and requirements.
14. Collaborate with the Business Analysis function to identify and prevent risks from the requirements gathering phase throughout the solution lifecycle.
15. Support continuous knowledge transfer to team members and maintain transparency in sharing risks, issues, and dependencies.
16. Identify potential improvements to processes and software products according to agreed designs and requirements.

Your profile :

• You hold a master's degree in an IT-related field.
• You have at least 8 years of experience as a Solution Architect.
• You possess relevant professional qualifications in designing cloud-based solutions (e.g., Azure, PowerApps Portal, MS Dynamics 365, MS SharePoint Online, SAP SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Salesforce).
• You hold BCS, TOGAF, SWEBOK, or other equivalent and valid architecture certificates.
• You have strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies (Microsoft Dynamics Portals, Microsoft SharePoint Online).
• Experience working with Azure DevOps, JIRA, SDLC, and ServiceNow modules (IT Operations Management, Visibility, IT Service Management, Professional, and Customer Service Modules) is desired.
