Descripción del empleo

More than 20 years ago, zooplus was one of the first to bring the pet category into the world of eCommerce. Today, we stand strong as Europe’s leading online pet platform, delivering moments of happiness to more than 9 million pet parents each year.

We're on a mission to create joy for pets and their parents, driven by our core values of Care, Courage, Openness, and Simplicity. At the heart of everything we do, they inspire us to grow, raise the bar for our customers and fuel a pet-first business.

Job Description

At zooplus, we believe architectural work doesn't have to be boring. We've built a unique, lean process that emphasizes collaborative crafting, enabling us to deliver practical blueprints, guidelines, and training to empower our product teams in achieving their goals. Now, we're looking for an experienced Domain Architect with a strong footprint in business domains, someone who cares about the important stuff and is ready to make a meaningful impact.

As part of our Enterprise Architecture Chapter, your mission will be to foster an environment where the right architecture naturally emerges to support our business model and product vision. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and product teams to translate business needs into flexible and sustainable architectural solutions. Your primary focus will be within the Customer Experience & Communication, covering areas such as zero-/third-party data management, data security and compliance, customer data platforms (like Tealium), personalization across touchpoints, consent and policy management, marketing automation (e.g., Braze), and integration with other business-critical domains like Shopping, Supply Chain, Account Management, and Order Management.

In this role, you'll shape the overall product architecture vision and ensure alignment with IT infrastructure. You’ll assess the current landscape, define the target architecture, and guide development through clear policies and best practices. Your responsibilities also include creating architectural blueprints, maintaining a forward-looking view on technology needs, and ensuring the quality and interoperability of our software solutions. Staying hands-on and supporting product teams in their daily work is also a key part of your contribution.

You’ll be joining a team of open-minded professionals who combine enterprise and solution architecture expertise. We value lean approaches, continuous learning, and regularly share knowledge through workshops and conferences. Spanning four locations and multiple nationalities, we collaborate closely and enjoy bouncing ideas off each other to stay innovative and aligned.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience as software architect, ideally in e-commerce context
  • Excellent technical leadership skills
  • Excellent knowledge of architecture approaches/paradigms and technology alternatives
  • Excellent ability to understand the problem domain from both a business and technical perspective, and design solutions for it
  • Profound knowledge in the applied business domain
  • Profound organizational, communication, and conflict resolving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge in driving projects and agile methodologies
  • Passionate about sharing with others
  • Previous working experience in e-commerce is a plus
  • Very good English (spoken and written)
