Solutions Architects work hand in hand with AWS customers to help them make the most of the Cloud. They are at the crossroads of business and technology and engage with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption. Solutions Architects create and present technical content and share best practices.

Solutions Architects are responsible for the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS and make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. They work to understand the customers' needs and provide prescriptive guidance on creating solutions with AWS technology. They lead activities such as architecture reviews, white-boarding sessions, demos, and technical workshops. They collaborate with teams like account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem.

In this role, you will practice linking technology to tangible solutions and educating AWS customers about the art of the possible. You will have the opportunity to implement cloud-native reference architectures for various use cases. The Solutions Architecture team is diverse, with members from various backgrounds. Practical knowledge of AWS is desired but not required if you have a strong technical foundation and a willingness to learn.

This position is only available to candidates holding a Certificado de Discapacidad issued by the Administration in Spain, pursuant to Royal Decree 1/2013, Nov 29, which reserves 2%.

Key job responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to accelerate projects and recommend best-practice architectures aligned with their long-term business goals;
• Build technical relationships and act as a trusted advisor, ensuring the customer's best interests guide your guidance;
• Share customer feedback to inform AWS feature roadmaps;
• Create and share best practices, technical content, and reference architectures (e.g., white papers, code samples, blog posts);
• Educate about AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences;
• Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture team by participating in hiring and mentoring.

Develop expertise in technical domains relevant to your interests and customer outcomes.

• Hold a Certificado de Discapacidad issued by the Administration in Spain, pursuant to Royal Decree 1/2013, Nov 29;
• Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering, or DevOps; passion for technology and learning;

Full professional fluency in English.

• Experience designing, building, refactoring, or operating IT systems, either on-premises or in the cloud; knowledge of cloud-native architectures;
• Knowledge of a modern programming language; in-depth in a technology domain; experience in customer-facing roles;

AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or other industry certifications; ongoing or advanced education (Master, MBA, PhD, or equivalent).
