Software Test Engineer and Chapter Leader - Modulab

This is a dual role, combining responsibilities of a Software Test Engineer and a Chapter Leader / People Manager.

The Chapter Lead is a technologist who leverages deep and broad technical expertise to identify and implement relevant technology solutions and tools that accelerate product delivery. They contribute to squads as a team member, where the success of the squads is their main responsibility. In addition, they serve as the functional manager of their chapter, overseeing the management of their chapter’s employees and their development.

The Software Test Engineer is responsible for verification and validation activities for clinical solutions software, including planning, designing, developing test procedures, and reporting results and defects.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage people activities within the chapter.
• Inspire and develop a high-performing team through coaching and mentoring.
• Participate in solving complex problems as an expert or by coordinating consultations with other experts.
• Act as a hands-on contributor within their squad, involved in all aspects of the product delivery cycle, aligned with the Technological Track's Job Description.
• Promote and enhance chapter standards and best practices collaboratively with other chapter leads.
• Ensure functional coherence within the chapter.
• Continuously seek new knowledge and practices to improve chapter performance.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among chapter members across squads.
• Coordinate training initiatives to support member growth.
• Establish and coordinate test activity criteria with the Solution Leader, ensuring adherence to Quality System procedures.
• Bring expertise in testing domains such as Automation, Performance, Cybersecurity, Test Architecture, DevTestOps, and Usability, including generating relevant metrics.
• Potentially generate test documentation like Testing Plans, Test Summary Reports, Test Results Matrix, and Unresolved Anomalies lists.
• Possibly oversee Cyber by Design (CbD) testing activities for projects.
• Participate in Hazard Analysis (HA / FMEA) processes; may lead risk management testing to ensure traceability to safety requirements and risk mitigation, generating Risk TRMX documentation.
• Utilize cutting-edge technology to innovate in testing and development.
• Design scalable test infrastructure.
• Explore new frameworks to expedite the testing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with squad members to implement user stories, write tests, and continuously improve product functionality.
• Coordinate with teams to resolve technical dependencies during implementation.
