Software Test Engineer and Chapter Leader - Modulab

This is a double role, as a Software Test Engineer and Chapter Leader / People Manager.

The Chapter Lead is a technologist who will leverage their deep and broad technical expertise to identify and implement relevant technology solutions and tools that will accelerate product delivery. The Chapter Lead contributes to squads as a member, where the success of the Squads is their main responsibility. In addition to their contributions on the squad, they are the functional manager of their chapter, responsible for the management of their Chapter’s employees and the development of their competencies.

The Software Test Engineer is responsible for verification and validation activities for clinical solutions software, including all planning, designing, and developing procedures to test and report results and defects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for People management activities of Chapter staff.
  • Inspire and grow a team of high-performing employees through peer coaching and mentoring.
  • Participate in solving complex problems that require the highest competency level as an expert or organizer of the necessary consultations with other experts.
  • Hands-on contributor in their squad to all aspects of the product delivery cycle, according to the Job Description from the Technological Track.
  • Advocate and advance chapter standards and best practices in collaboration with other chapter leads and chapters.
  • Responsible for the functional coherence within the chapter.
  • Constantly look for new knowledge and practices to boost chapter performance.
  • Foster collaboration and learning sharing between Chapter members across Squads.
  • Coordinate training for Chapter members to help them grow.
  • Coordinate and establish criteria for test activities with the Solution Leader. Monitor adherence to Quality System procedures.
  • Bring expertise to the team in various testing domains such as Automation, Performance, Cybersecurity, Test Architecture, DevTestOps, and Usability. Responsible for generating expert metrics.
  • May be responsible for generation of Test documentation such as Testing Plans, Test Summary reports, Test Results Matrix, and Unresolved anomalies list.
  • May be responsible for Cyber by Design (CbD) testing activities for projects.
  • Participate actively in Hazard Analysis (HA / FMEA) processes; may lead the Risk Management test activities assuring the design and building of traceability to Safety Requirements and risk mitigations. Generate Risk TRMX documentation.
  • Use a wide range of cutting-edge technology to innovate while testing / developing.
  • Design scalable infrastructure for test execution.
  • Explore new ways to expedite testing life cycle by bringing in different frameworks.
  • Collaborate with other squad members to implement user stories, write tests, and continuously deliver new / improved product functionality.
  • Communicate with different teams to resolve technical dependencies during implementation.
