Senior Software Developer m / f / d PHP

FLYERALARM is a leading e-commerce company specializing in print products and marketing within the B2B sector, and one of Europe’s most successful online printing companies.

As part of our IT team, you will ensure smooth functionality within one of our departments, playing a crucial role in the overall success of the company. You are an expert in PHP with extensive experience in complex online stores. You will develop professional web and backend applications, with agile software development, ensuring variety and autonomy in your work. You are passionate about clean software architecture employing domain-driven design, maintaining high code quality, and actively engaging with DevOps topics.

We offer a variety of tasks across our diverse departments, including: developing innovative solutions for print data and automated rule-based print data adjustments, automating and standardizing shipping and production processes, optimizing throughput times, transferring order information to production, implementing product master data projects, optimizing product configurators, creating automated price calculations, and maintaining our growing product catalog. You will develop web and backend applications based on PHP.

You will work with DevOps methods (e.g., continuous integration) and tools such as Git, Ansible, Docker (Swarm).

You will ensure compliance with clean software architecture principles, including domain-driven design (DDD).

Business fluent English skills are required.

Qualifications:

• A degree in computer science, completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist, or equivalent vocational training.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Solid working knowledge of PHP.
• Proficiency in applying SOLID principles and design patterns.
• In-depth knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Elastic Search), software architectures (e.g., RabbitMQ), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
• Experience automating software tests with tools like PHPUnit or Cypress.
• Good understanding of web security best practices and secure coding techniques.
