Job summary

HP Barcelona invites applications for a Software Engineering Intern. You will work with our global R&D teams on firmware, software, and hardware development, learning from seasoned engineers and contributing to real projects.

The internship starts February 2027 and runs through June–July 2027. You must be enrolled at a Spanish university through the end of the program, with on-site work in Sant Cugat del Vallès and English fluency required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficient in C++ and Python; comfortable with Linux and Windows OS.
• Knowledge of AI tools and familiarity with agentic development.
• Strong analytical abilities and teamwork; self-organized and adaptable; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Learn how requirements and designs translate into code following team guidelines.
• Support design, coding, and improvement of firmware and software features.
• Create and run tests, document results, and investigate issues with team support.
• Contribute to development of reliable internal tools for HP Additive Manufacturing R&D teams.
• Share progress and collaborate with team members to move tasks forward.

Before applying, please note that, to be eligible for this position, you must be currently enrolled at a university in Spain, remain enrolled until the end of the internship, and be eligible to sign an internship agreement with your university. You must also be available to start the internship in February 2027 and continue participating in the program until June-July 2027.

Key responsibilities

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related
• Good understanding of C++/Python coding language and Linux and Windows O.S.
• Knowledge of commonly used AI tools and familiarity with agentic development
