Description

We are seeking a Java developer to join our team for a "Regulatory data exchange" project. The role involves working across all layers of the project to develop a self-sufficient developer profile. The project primarily uses Java along with open-source frameworks such as Spring Boot, Postgres, Scala, Hadoop, and Angular. Emphasis is on backend development, so experience in this area is highly valued.

About the team & role

Our small team of two developers in Valencia owns one of Confluence's flagship products, Silverfinch, a data exchange platform used by asset managers and investors. Although mainly in maintenance mode, new team members will help with upgrades and new features to improve the platform. The project involves high complexity and big data, offering a challenging environment. Working hours are typically 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm, with daily stand-ups. Flexibility in hours may be required, and occasional after-hours on-call duties might be necessary.

Required skills & experience

• At least 5 years of software development experience
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Quality-oriented, self-motivated, quick learner
• Familiarity with Java open-source ecosystem

• Experience with MVC projects
• Relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of Jooq or similar ORM tools
