Description

We are seeking a Java developer to participate in a "Regulatory data exchange" project. The role involves working across all layers of the project to develop a comprehensive understanding and become self-sufficient. The project primarily uses Java, along with open source frameworks such as Spring Boot, Postgres, Scala, Hadoop, and Angular. Emphasis is on backend development, so experience in this area is highly valued.

About the team & role

Our small development team in Valencia owns one of Confluence's flagship products, Silverfinch, a data exchange platform used by asset managers and investors. With plans to upgrade and add features, the team is expanding from two to three members. The project involves high complexity, including big data processing. Working hours are typically 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm, with daily stand-ups. Flexibility in work hours is required due to the global nature of Confluence, and occasional after-hours on-call duties may be needed.

Required skills & experience

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Quality-oriented, self-motivated, quick learner
• Familiarity with Java open source ecosystem
