In this role, you will build and scale backend systems and design secure smart contracts, contributing to a decentralized future. Software Engineer, Python (Web3 Vision Platform)

What You’ll Do

• Build and scale backend systems that power Bitpanda’s Web3 stack, from tokenized assets to dApps and beyond.
• Design, develop, and deploy secure smart contracts on Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains.
• Deliver production-grade Python code focused on performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product and security teams to ship features rapidly and responsibly.
• Own key architectural decisions and drive the technical direction of our decentralized systems.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of backend experience with Typescript and / or Python with strong system architecture skills.
• Hands-on experience writing and deploying Solidity smart contracts in production environments.
• Familiar with key Web3 tooling and concepts (Hardhat, Foundry, L2s, DeFi, RPC nodes, on-chain indexing).
• Deep understanding of integrating blockchain services, APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Passionate about decentralization, self-custody, and building real-world Web3 solutions.
