Flywire is hiring a Software Engineer on the Payments Platform in Valencia, Spain. You will help build and scale Flywire’s global payment engine, contributing across backend and possibly full-stack areas, with a focus on high-volume, secure payment services in a cloud-enabled FinTech environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and explore AI-enabled tools to boost productivity, with Valencia-based hybrid work and opportunities to impact clients across industries.

Formación

• Around 2 years of experience in software or application development.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering, backend or full stack.
• Experience with APIs, web services or REST-based architecture.
• Understanding of object-oriented design.
• Exposure to relational databases.
• Interest in scalable systems, cloud platforms and reliability.
• Ability to learn new languages, frameworks and tools.
• Curiosity about AI, LLMs and modern engineering workflows.
• Excellent communication and English proficiency.
• Product-minded with awareness of how engineering decisions affect customers and the business.
• Valencia-based or open to relocating to Valencia in Spain.
• FinTech or payments experience is desirable but not required.

As a Software Engineer on the Payments Platform, you help build and scale Flywire’s global payment engine, impacting speed, reliability and client experience. You’ll contribute across backend and possibly full-stack areas, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-volume, secure payment services. The role blends hands-on engineering with exposure to cloud, AI-enabled development and platform engineering, in a fast-growing FinTech environment.
