Flywire, based in Spain, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead teams shaping the core payments architecture and scale our distributed, high-availability systems. You will balance strategic technical direction with people leadership, enabling AI-driven automation to improve payments compliance and risk.

You’ll partner with Product, QA and SRE to align roadmaps and deliver impact at global scale. This mission-driven role requires 3+ years managing engineering teams and 7+ years in software

Formación

• 3+ years managing and mentoring engineering teams with track record in performance management and hiring
• 7+ years of software engineering experience on high-availability production systems and distributed architecture
• Hands-on experience building or supporting payment platforms, payment gateways, fintech products, or related domains
• Strong ability to communicate technical matters to non-technical stakeholders
• Strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration

Responsabilidades

• Strategic Oversight: set priorities for specific teams and ensure execution aligns with strategy
• Team Development: manage performance, coaching, hiring within budget
• Resource Allocation: determine approaches to daily operations across multiple product lines
• AI & Automation: design AI-enabled workflow orchestration for compliance and risk
• Quality Governance: enforce design reviews, TDD and CI/CD practices
• Stakeholder Alignment: collaborate with Product, QA, and SRE to match roadmaps with outcomes
• Global Influence: build relationships across the organization to refine infrastructure requirements
