As a Software Engineer...

You'll be part of our Claims team, responsible for the full development lifecycle of the reimbursement claims decision-making process. Your work will involve analyzing veterinary documents and invoices, implementing automated validation systems for coverage eligibility, from core strategy to deployment.

This claims process handles over €50 million annually in reimbursements, with an opportunity to save €2 million for the company, making this a high-impact role.

The Claims team automates pet health insurance claims processing, a critical challenge. When pet parents visit the vet, they request reimbursement through our app by uploading documents. Our system analyzes these documents to make accurate coverage decisions, handling complex scenarios such as:

• Pre-existing conditions not covered by our policy
• Waiting periods for treatments or procedures
• Line-by-line invoice evaluation according to policy terms

You will work on cutting-edge solutions using OCR to extract text, LLMs to interpret medical language, and business rules to apply policy conditions. Your contributions will help:

• Minimize claim resolution times
• Automate validation of coverage conditions
• Improve user experience and transparency
• Detect potential fraud or inconsistencies
• Support veterinary decision-making with AI

We are also generating a large database of structured clinical data for future innovations. We seek someone curious, interested in various frameworks and languages, and eager to help shape the future of pet insurance with data, intelligence, and empathy.
