JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide technical support to help SoundWay's clients define, design, develop, enhance, modernize, test, integrate, deploy, and maintain mission-critical and operational-support systems and applications. Note: duties, responsibilities, and authority depend on the job level for which you are hired.

• As a Software Engineer, your duties shall include:(i) Working as a member of, or technical lead for, a multi-disciplinary integrated team, (ii) Visualize, design, and develop creative and innovative software platforms and solutions, (iii) Create scalable software platforms and applications, and efficient networking solutions, (iv) Follow and apply configuration management policies and procedures, (v) Examine existing systems and software, (vi) Troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, resolve, and document all actions, (vii) Employ exceptional problem-solving skills to preemptively address issues, (viii) Plan and scale distributed software and applications, applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver well-documented quality code, (ix) Track, document, and maintain software and network system functionality, leveraging opportunities to improve engineering productivity, (x) Ensure software and networking platforms are free of faults, maintaining site reliability, (xi) Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to influence product strategy and system capabilities, and (xii) Conduct work following an Agile lifecycle (likely SCRUM).
• More experienced individuals may be required to:(i) Define and document best practices and strategies for design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance, (ii) Support large-scale systems for data analysis, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics, (iii) Provide guidance, mentorship, and training on best practices and emerging technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based technology, with the ability to assess, troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain current and emerging platforms and applications for security and efficiency.

• TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
  • Proven ability to document design processes, including development, testing, analytics, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience conducting software engineering within Agile/SCRUM cycles in a web environment.
  • Strong scripting and test automation skills.
  • Experience with relational databases and/or MongoDB.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, C, C++, Matlab, Ruby, PHP, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Bash, Perl, PowerShell, Groovy, among others.
  • Professional communication skills.
• YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • Entry-Level Cloud Engineer: Minimum 1 year experience.
  • Mid-Level Cloud Engineer: Minimum 4 years experience.
  • Senior-Level Cloud Engineer: Minimum 8 years experience.
• EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or related field.
  • Waivers available for additional experience or advanced degrees.
• CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS, Microsoft, CompTIA Security+, Oracle, Scrum, PMP, Python, C, etc., may be required or preferred depending on the role.
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Contingent upon federal government client requirements, including proof of vaccination or approved exemption.
