If you are interested in working in this innovative environment and are a Java Software Engineer with experience in Spring Boot and Rest APIs, we have a role in one of our Transporeon software teams. You will assist in developing the next generation of market-leading telematic software products for multinational clients.

As a Software Engineer, you will help develop innovative platform services for the transportation domain at Trimble. These services will integrate with Trimble Cloud core platform services and provide transportation platform APIs for various transportation products and applications. We aim to build a robust foundation for Trimble's transportation products by establishing new teams and developing new platform services, fostering an environment of exploration and innovation with next-gen technologies.

This role will involve taking full ownership of the development and maintenance of one of our platform services.

What You Will Do :

• Contribute to the architecture, design, and development of scalable, performant, and flexible platform services for domain-specific products.
• Identify and apply innovative solutions to problems and follow SDLCT practices.
• Take comprehensive responsibility for service development, testing, deployment, operations, and maintenance.
• Follow best practices ensuring code quality, coverage, CI/CD, and security compliance.
• Collaborate effectively within the team and with cross-functional teams, including globally distributed teams.

Essential Skills & Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience developing backend services with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, using Maven/Gradle.
• Experience in writing clean, quality code with good coverage.
• Knowledge of cloud-agnostic and cloud-native services.
• Basic DevOps knowledge with CI/CD.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Innovative mindset and eagerness to learn and contribute with next-gen technologies.
• Professional English communication skills for working with international teams.

Languages & Frameworks :

• Java
• Spring, Spring Boot, Gradle, REST API

Databases :

• PostgreSQL / MySQL, MongoDB / Elasticsearch, or any RDBMS + NoSQL experience

Cloud :

• Azure or any cloud experience

Message Broker :

• Kafka or any message broker and event-driven architecture experience
