We are looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in all areas of software engineering: distributed systems, identity, security, observability, and user experience.

This is a greenfield opportunity to design and build new cloud-centric applications from the ground up. We are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. An engineer at any level can have significant technical and business impact here. Who are we looking for?

We are looking for full-stack engineers with distributed systems experience. You should have experience with the design of major features and launching them into production. You’ve operated or supported high-scale services and understand how to make them more resilient. You work on most projects and tasks independently.

You are technically strong and get a lot done — you've worked on highly available, scalable, and redundant services. You’ve built rich tools and web apps for use by your team and other internal customers. You have experience with tools like Splunk, Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana. You understand that simple systems are easier to operate and fix. You can balance speed and quality with iteration and incremental improvements. You’ve made life easier for other developers and have motivated your teams to improve processes and services through automation and proper instrumentation. You understand operational excellence and how to foster a culture of dedication within your team.

The person in this role will deliver key features and improvements.

What are the biggest challenges for the team?

Scalability, performance, and availability. The growth of the business is driving us to improve our systems' ability to scale out and handle traffic patterns several orders of magnitude greater than today. This generates a lot of data. As we operate our services and serve more customers, we need to find log and performance information quickly and accurately. Ideally, this would be self-service for our customers.

We recognize that software requires ongoing investment. The challenge lies in making the right trade-offs, communicating decisions effectively, and executing crisply.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable, reliable distributed systems and tools.

Create dashboards and data pipelines for operational insights.

Collaborate with product teams to implement features, security reviews, and UX assessments.

Design and develop micro-frontend architectures and RESTful web services.

Automate tasks using scripting languages and develop command-line tools.

Qualifications

4+ years of full-stack software development experience.

Hands-on experience with large data pipelines, tools, and dashboards.

Experience with security reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers.

Experience developing customer-focused micro-frontend architectures and RESTful services.

Proficiency with scripting languages for automation and prototyping.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Oracle.

Experience handling large volumes of data and logging systems.

Understanding of key performance indicators and data analysis.

Knowledge of multi-AZ and regional data center architectures.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment automation.

Ability to work with internal customers and prioritize features effectively.
