Position: Software Development Engineer in Testing

Location: Remote within Spain

Main responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining advanced backend test automation frameworks for Java applications.
• Leading the creation and execution of comprehensive test strategies and plans.
• Promoting best practices in test automation, CI/CD, and quality assurance.
• Collaborating with mobile developers to influence design for testability.
• Designing and executing performance, load, and scalability tests.
• Mentoring junior engineers in test automation and quality assurance.
• Improving testing processes, tools, and frameworks.
• Managing defect identification, documentation, and tracking.
• Providing technical leadership and market insights.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years in software development and test automation.
• Strong Java programming skills.
• Experience with backend automation tools like Cucumber.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
• Leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of SDLC, design patterns, cloud computing (AWS preferred), Agile methodologies, accessibility testing, and security testing.
• Proficiency in English (C1 level).

Preferred: Experience in regulated environments like banking/fintech, relevant degrees, certifications, security expertise.
