What are we looking for?

We seek a Software Development Engineer in Testing with Java experience, working closely with one of our main banking sector clients.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced backend test automation frameworks for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing of Java applications.
• Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive test strategies and plans.
• Promote best practices in test automation, CI/CD, and quality within the team.
• Collaborate with mobile developers to influence design for testability.
• Design and execute performance, load, and scalability tests, and optimize performance.
• Mentor junior SDETs and quality engineers.
• Improve testing processes, tools, and frameworks continuously.
• Manage defect identification, documentation, and tracking.
• Provide technical leadership and market insights.

What we expect from you:

• Over 6 years of experience in software development and test automation.
• Strong Java programming skills.
• Experience with backend automation tools like Cucumber.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of SDLC, design patterns, and cloud computing (AWS is a plus).
• Experience in Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of accessibility testing (W3C).
• Good English skills (C1 level).

Nice to have:

• Experience in regulated environments like banking or fintech.
• Degree in Computer Science.
• AWS certification.
• Knowledge of security testing tools.

Work location

100% remote within Spain. Business hours, no intensive Fridays or summer schedule.
