This remote role involves engineering new features and improvements using Python and Ansible, amongst other automation technologies. Candidates should have a solid background in system administration and scripting, and familiarity with containerization and cloud services is a plus.

• Note - This is complete Remote role for candidates based in Spain

You will be responsible for developing and implementing new features, fixes and improvements to the Trusted Postgres Architect (TPA) automation tool based on Python and Ansible. TPA allows users to easily configure and deploy advanced cluster architectures trusted by EDB using high availability solutions such as PGD, EFM and Patroni on an extended range of environments for testing and production use.

As a member of the TPA development team you will be part of the engineering team

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Experience required 3-6 Years
• Strong knowledge of system administration and automated software deployment using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Salt.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills applied to software installation and configuration.
• Scripting and coding experience using Python.
• Good knowledge and experience on Linux operating systems.

GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience with PostgreSQL administration and deployment, with high availability solutions
• Experience with Docker environments
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3
• Experience with Ansible automation platform, Tower, AWX
