Formación

• Experiencia comprobada en el desarrollo de aplicaciones empresariales en Java y SQL.
• Familiaridad con prácticas de desarrollo como TDD y principios de código limpio.

Responsabilidades

• Desarrollo y mantenimiento de servicios Java expuestos como servicios REST.
• Administración de pipelines CI/CD que construyen, prueban y despliegan servicios.

Join us as a Software Developer - JAVA in a hybrid work model with regular visits to our office in San Sebastian, Basque Country. Our team developed several software products of the Siemens Water platform (SIWA), a software platform to help water utility companies improve their efficiency and resiliency and reduce their carbon footprint.

SIWA provides smart water solutions combining Big Data, Hydraulic Simulation, Artificial Intelligence, and other technologies to extend the life of aging assets, reduce water losses and other abnormalities, improve water quality monitoring, service levels, reliability of supply and increase revenue through operational efficiency.

SIWA is implemented in many water utilities worldwide. Customers in Spain, UK, France, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Canada, Costa Rica, or Chile are examples of countries where SIWA has been implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines.
• Development and maintenance of Java services that will be exposed as REST services.
• Development and maintenance of Java services that integrate data from various sources, including RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Adhere to development practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Clean Code principles.
• Administration of CI/CD pipelines that build, test and deploy services.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and management using IaC frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.
• Use Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
• Work closely with the customer success and the development team to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Continuously improve data engineering practices and processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience developing enterprise applications in Java and SQL.
• Experience in development practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Clean Code principles.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Maven and Git.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
• Experience with real-time data architectures.
• Familiarity with data ingestion and integration tools.
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks like Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.
• Understanding of Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and tools.
