Job Summary

EXFO product for 5G & 4G network monitoring, analysis & optimization is evolving towards cloud native architecture in order to enable full automation capability, ML / AI algorithms for network analysis and high scalability to address the needs of 5G networks for which EXFO is playing a very active role.

You will be a member of a scrum team focused on the implementation of radio optimization tool for mobile network operators. As part of this team, you will participate in the development of a microservice-based web application.

Your responsibilities will also include contributing to the team’s efforts to evolve our CI / CD processes to improve the deployment and delivery workflow and the quality of our solutions.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for people with different skills to meet the needs of the different phases of the Product development cycle: SW development, testing, CI / CD Integration & deployment.

As a reference, below are some of the technologies that would be used:

1. SW Development: Java, Go, Angular
2. DevOps: Elastic search

What You’ll Do

• Participate in the development of new functionalities in the front-end and back-end of a web application
• Participate in code reviews
• Participate in the definition and evolution of the product architecture
• Collaborate in the maintenance and evolution of CI / CD workflows
• Elaborate software documentation and production documentation
• Participate actively in scrum ceremonies and technical meetings and contribute to improve our engineering standards and processes

Technical Skills

• Experience of back-end development: Java, Go, REST
• CI / CD tools knowledge like Gitlab
• Virtualization experience is a plus (Docker)
• Mobile network technologies knowledge like GSM / GPRS, UMTS and LTE is an added value
• Knowledge of microservices and micro-frontend architectures

Must Have

Language Requirements: Fluent in English and Spanish

Education: BS / MS Telecommunications or Computer Science Master Degree or equivalent. Any other combination of experience/studies will be considered.
