Lever, Inc. is seeking a Software Data Engineer (AWS) based in Spain to build a modern data platform for global manufacturing operations. You will design scalable streaming and batch data pipelines, connect plant systems, and enable data-driven decisions across an international environment.

You will own data solutions from prototype to production, applying CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code. Collaboration with global teams and strong communication are essential to success.

Formación

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong programming and data engineering skills in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience building streaming data pipelines with Kafka/MSK and Flink or Spark Streaming.
• Practical experience with AWS services including EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and VPC.
• Solid understanding of big data technologies such as Spark, Hive, and HDFS with lakehouse formats like Iceberg and Parquet.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools, REST APIs, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of scalable data architectures, production data pipelines, data quality, monitoring, and operational best practices.
• Experience with Iceberg or Delta Lake, CDC, schema evolution at scale, or Scala is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop scalable streaming data pipelines using Kafka/MSK, Flink or Spark Streaming.
• Build batch transformations in a medallion lakehouse on Amazon S3 with Iceberg and Parquet.
• Design and manage relational, NoSQL, and lakehouse storage solutions.
• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting data and ML workloads (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Take data solutions from prototype to production with CI/CD, containerization, and deployment best practices.
• Collaborate with international teams to gather requirements and define data loading processes.
• Document developments, perform integration testing, and manage deployments in AWS.
• Support transition to governance and support teams for reliable operation.
• Monitor pipelines for observability, quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Investigate issues and implement improvements to data ingestion processes.
