Q-Tech is seeking a Software Architect in Barcelona who remains hands-on while guiding cross-functional teams across multiple projects. You will stay involved in development, address architecture challenges, and help drive feature implementation in an agile environment.

Ideal candidates have a strong developer background, experience with legacy and modern architectures, and the ability to switch technologies as projects demand.

We are working with a leading French health-tech group, one of the major players in information systems for the Healthcare sector, with close to 6,000 employees across more than 10 countries.

This position sits within the French team that provides cross-functional support to the company's main Healthcare business unit. It's a cross-team role: the person will work with different teams and projects rather than being permanently assigned to a single one.

We are looking for a Software Architect who is, above all, a developer at heart: someone with an ecosystem-level vision who stays hands-on in day-to-day development, comfortable moving across different projects and technologies within an agile environment.

Responsibilities

Act as a software architect while actively taking part in development work, not just in diagrams or theoretical documentation.

Get involved in feature implementation alongside development teams, supporting developers and helping them resolve architecture-related challenges.

Stay engaged through the deployment process of what is designed: technical release management, follow‑up on production rollout, monitoring and, occasionally, incident analysis.

Move across different projects and technologies (Java, .NET, React, Node.js...), proactively reaching out to the relevant teams rather than waiting for answers to come.

Provide occasional functional support (one to two weeks per year at most); this role does not manage functional delivery teams nor holds ongoing responsibility for functional implementation.

Coordinate and align with various internal teams and stakeholders, given the cross-team nature of the role.

What is offered

Permanent contract.

Hybrid model: 2 days in the office and 3 days remote per week (no fixed mandatory office day for this role).

Requirements

Software Architect profile with a strong developer background, hands‑on.

Experience working with both legacy environments and modern architectures, with openness to switching technologies depending on the project.

Spanish or English (at least one of the two is required).

Adaptable and dynamic profile, able to work autonomously and in a structured way, with a holistic vision.

No prior specific experience in the healthcare sector required.
