Cheil Spain está buscando un/a Social Media Project Lead en Madrid para liderar operaciones diarias de Social Media y coordinar equipos multidisciplinares. Debe translatear estrategias globales a contenidos locales y mantener la excelencia creativa y la entrega en tiempo.

El/la candidato/a ideal tiene experiencia sólida en desarrollo de contenidos sociales, gestión de cuentas internacionales y capacidad para colaborar estrechamente con el cliente y stakeholders senior. Modelo de trabajo híbrido.

Formación

• Experiencia profesional mínima de 8 años en Social Media, contenido digital o marketing integrado.

Responsabilidades

• Liderar la operación diaria de Social Media, asegurando que estrategia, creatividad, ejecución y entrega se conecten.
• Coordinar equipos internos multidisciplinares (Social Media, Strategy, Creative, Production y Analytics).
• Gestión de reuniones y presentaciones con clientes y stakeholders senior.
• Proponer y liderar contenido Social Media local relevante y adaptaciones internacionales.
• Asegurar la consistencia de la marca a nivel global y su relevancia local.
• Gestionar proyectos y flujos de trabajo para varias iniciativas simultáneas.

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Project Lead to join our team in Madrid and take a key leadership role within one of our major international accounts.

This is a senior, highly client-facing position combining Social Media leadership, content excellence and strong Project Management capabilities. The successful candidate will coordinate the social media team, act as a trusted partner to the client and connect international strategy with locally relevant social content across the European market.

Your role at Cheil: Social Media Project Lead

What we are looking for?

As Social Media Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day Social Media operation, ensuring that strategy, creativity, execution and delivery come together seamlessly.

You will work closely with the client and coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams including Social Media, Strategy, Creative, Production and Analytics.

Beyond managing the day-to-day activity, we are looking for someone capable of challenging briefs, identifying opportunities and continuously raising the creative and strategic standard of the work.

Client Leadership & Strategic Partnership:

• Act as a senior day-to-day Social Media partner for the client, building a trusted and proactive relationship.
• Understand the client's business, marketing priorities and communication challenges and translate them into actionable Social Media initiatives.
• Lead Social Media meetings, presentations and key conversations with senior client stakeholders.
• Advise the client on Social Media best practices, emerging platforms, cultural trends and new opportunities.
• Challenge briefs constructively and proactively identify opportunities where Social Media can add greater value to the business.
• Ensure alignment between global, European and local priorities.

International Content Adaptation:

• Lead and manage the adaptation of international Social Media content for the Spanish market and other European requirements when necessary.
• Evaluate global assets from a Social Media perspective, identifying how they should be adapted to maximize local relevance and platform effectiveness.
• Coordinate workflows, approvals, localization and delivery of international content.
• Ensure that global brand consistency is maintained without losing local cultural and Social Media relevance.
• Identify opportunities to improve international content rather than approaching localization as a purely operational adaptation process.

Local Content & Creative Excellence:

• Proactively identify, propose and lead locally relevant Social Media content opportunities.
• Translate local cultural insights, conversations, trends and audience behaviors into strong Social Media ideas.
• Work closely with Creative and Production teams to develop social-first content designed specifically for each platform.
• Push for creative excellence, ensuring that content is relevant, distinctive and capable of generating meaningful engagement with audiences.
• Identify opportunities around real-time content, trends, creators, formats, emerging platforms and new technologies.
• Balance global brand consistency with the need to remain culturally relevant at local level.

Team Leadership:

• Coordinate and provide day-to-day leadership to the Social Media team.
• Set priorities, distribute workloads and ensure clarity of responsibilities across the team.
• Mentor and support team members, helping them develop both strategically and professionally.
• Create a collaborative environment where strategy, creativity, community management, content creation and analytics work as one integrated Social Media team.
• Ensure consistently high standards across every deliverable.

Project Management & Delivery:

A core part of this position will be ensuring that a complex Social Media operation runs efficiently.

You will:

• Own project planning across multiple simultaneous Social Media workstreams.
• Define priorities, timelines, responsibilities and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders across Creative, Production, Strategy, Analytics, Account Management and other specialist teams.
• Anticipate dependencies, risks and potential bottlenecks and proactively develop solutions.
• Manage deadlines and approval processes while maintaining a high quality standard.
• Ensure clear communication and visibility around project status for both internal teams and the client.
• Coordinate resources according to workload and business priorities.
• Improve workflows and processes to make the Social Media operation more agile, scalable and efficient.
• Ensure projects move effectively from briefing through ideation, production, approval, publication and reporting.

Social Media Performance & Innovation:

• Work closely with Analytics teams to understand content and channel performance and turn data into actionable recommendations.
• Use performance insights to continuously improve the Social Media approach.
• Stay ahead of platform developments, algorithms, formats, creator trends, AI and emerging Social Media behaviors.
• Identify opportunities to introduce new processes, technologies and ways of working.
• Help evolve and drive the Social Media capability within Cheil, raising the strategic and creative ambition of the discipline.
• Contribute to broader agency initiatives, strategic projects and new business opportunities when required.

Key Skills & requirements:

• 8+ years of professional experience in Social Media, digital content or integrated marketing, preferably within leading creative, digital or Social Media agencies.
• Strong experience working within a European or international environment, ideally managing multi-market or regional projects.
• Proven experience leading Social Media teams and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Significant experience working directly with senior clients and managing complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong Project Management capabilities, with proven experience managing multiple projects, workflows, teams and priorities simultaneously.
• Demonstrable experience managing both global/international content adaptation and locally created Social Media content.
• Excellent understanding of the major Social Media platforms, particularly TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and emerging platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Social Media culture, platform behaviors, content formats and current trends.
• Excellent creative judgement and the ability to distinguish between content that simply fulfils a brief and content that can genuinely perform in Social Media.
• Strategic mindset combined with a highly practical, hands‑on approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities and demanding deadlines.
• Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience working with Social Media management, listening and analytics tools such as Sprinklr or similar platforms is highly valued.

Languages:

• High‑level English proficiency (C2 or equivalent), both written and spoken. The role requires daily interaction with international stakeholders and the ability to lead meetings and presentations confidently in English.
• Upper‑intermediate to advanced Spanish (B2‑C1), with the ability to work effectively with local teams and stakeholders.
