Role: Social Media Manager

Location: Madrid, Spain (Office presence expected at minimum 2 days per week)

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Social Media Manager to work with one of the world's largest drinks companies on their premium and luxury alcohol brands in their 4 main Southern Europe's markets (Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, and Greece). Our client is recognized as a marketing leader for their innovative work, including digital firsts, PR stunts, and celebrity ambassadors.

We are looking for a developing social all-rounder, full of talent and ambition, who can match our client's passion for industry-leading marketing.

You will have the opportunity to work on a range of brands, from well-known category leaders to disruptive newcomers, across various audiences and cultural areas. The role will be varied and interesting, with opportunities to collaborate with top-tier marketers and our talented in-house social team.

The Social Media Manager will drive best practices and innovation in social content. You will bring a social perspective to integrated campaigns, ensure global social content aligns with local brand and business priorities, analyze content effectiveness, support local teams, and provide insights into social content and best practices. You will be an expert in content management tools and social listening, managing collaborations with paid media agencies and leading campaign strategies.

Reporting to the Social Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with paid media agencies to ensure high-quality content for all paid media executions.
  • Developing social and campaign strategies aligned with brand purpose and business objectives.
  • Creating quarterly content plans based on local market activations, global content, and opportunities.
  • Managing strategy implementation, content calendars, and channel optimization.
  • Collaborating with cross-agency teams for integrated campaign planning.
  • Analyzing social content impact to optimize future activities.
  • Staying updated on social platform developments and cultural trends.
  • Establishing effective working relationships with local market teams.
  • Planning and executing post-boosting strategies for key audiences.
  • Supervising Channel Managers responsible for moderation and reporting.

WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE:

  • Deep understanding of paid media and influencer roles.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; knowledge of Italian, Portuguese, or Greek is a plus.
  • Excellent client engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking and project management skills.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Ability to identify content opportunities and support client goals.
