The Internal Communication and Social Media Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing GDELS’ internal communication strategies. This position focuses on creating and implementing internal communication plans to effectively share relevant updates about GDELS’ business, people, and culture, fostering a strong sense of community and alignment among employees.

The Specialist will elevate GDELS’ employer brand by designing bold and engaging campaigns that showcase the company as an exceptional place to work. Through strategic management of GDELS’ social media channels, the Specialist will connect internal and external narratives, amplifying the company’s voice, strengthening its reputation, and attracting top-tier talent.

Reporting directly to the Director of Talent and Internal Communication, this role collaborates with key stakeholders, including Human Resources, Corporate Communication, and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate is a creative strategist and compelling storyteller, passionate about driving GDELS’ mission to attract and retain top talent while building a vibrant internal culture and a standout employer brand.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing, developing, and executing comprehensive internal communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Creating high-quality internal communication materials such as messages, initiatives, digital content, campaigns, and audiovisuals to drive engagement and reflect GDELS’ culture.
  3. Ensuring consistency in communication across all channels and organizational levels, aligning with corporate strategies.
  4. Managing the GDELS intranet implementation, liaising with external providers, IT, and internal clients, and maintaining engaging content.
  5. Planning and executing internal events and content highlighting company culture, DEI initiatives, employee experience, and professional development.
  6. Developing professional videos and presentations for organizational events and communication channels.
  7. Ensuring content quality and relevance in English, Spanish, and German, adapting messages for the audience.
  8. Participating in cross-functional teams and fostering collaborative relationships with Corporate Communications & Marketing.
  9. Managing GDELS’ social media presence, creating engaging posts, and staying updated on social media trends to support employer branding.

Qualifications include:

  1. 7+ years of experience in internal and corporate communication within international companies, supporting business strategy, employer branding, DEI, and business culture.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, or Marketing.
  3. Postgraduate studies in Internal Communication, Digital Marketing, or related fields.
  4. Experience in creating digital content, videos, newsletters, presentations, and managing intranets, websites, and social media.
  5. Proven writing and editing skills in communication content.
  6. Proficiency in English and Spanish (C1 level); German is a plus.
  7. Knowledge of internal communication processes and social media management.
  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, and editing software tools.
  9. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  10. Strong interpersonal, social, and communication skills.
  11. Self-starter with a high sense of accountability and commitment to quality.
  12. Organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
