Descripción del empleo

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

My client is a leader in disruptive video content delivery technology (MultiCDN) solutions used by streaming and broadcasting organizations worldwide. They are seeking to hire a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for Cloud Infrastructures, combining software and systems engineering to build and operate large-scale, distributed systems. This remote role requires working within 2-3 hours of CET, with flexible start times aligned with the team at 9am WET.

The company supports fully remote working, especially during these times, and offers relocation options to Tenerife, Spain.

Position details

Join a company with innovative products in content delivery and media streaming. As they expand internationally beyond their Tenerife base, they aim to deliver high-quality services to a global client base. Growing from a startup, they seek talented individuals to join their engineering team, working with top industry clients and planning new product launches.

This is a full-time remote position with flexible work hours, emphasizing a work-life balance.

What you will find in this position

We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, develop, and maintain infrastructure supporting various workloads in a cloud environment. You will manage product life cycles, from code to production, building automated solutions and applying SRE principles to prevent issues using monitoring and modern technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support integration and testing of infrastructure components, developing automation for high-quality deployment processes (e.g., GitLab CI, Terraform with AWS).
  • Enhance monitoring solutions to detect issues proactively, implementing automation and alerting.
  • Investigate and resolve problems across infrastructure, code, configurations, and data.
  • Document knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Stay updated with the latest SRE/DevOps tools and strategies.

What we expect from you

  • 2–4 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
  • Solid experience with AWS.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (preferably Terraform).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and source control (Git, GitLab).
  • Understanding of security best practices (IAM, secrets management, VPC).
  • Experience designing reliable cloud architectures with strategies like Blue/Green, Canary releases.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with GO or PYTHON.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Proactive in improving workflows and familiar with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Team-oriented and eager to face challenges.

While the position is fully remote, some synchronous work during 09:00-13:00 WET is expected for team coordination.

Nice to have

  • Experience with serverless AWS services (Cognito, Lambdas, AppSync, CloudFront, S3).
  • Knowledge of open-source databases/message brokers (Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Experience in performance/security testing.
  • Familiarity with container technologies (ECS, EKS, Docker).
  • Contributions to security or observability initiatives.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and large-scale system operations.

Candidates are not expected to have expertise in all areas but should have strengths in some and interest in others.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary.
  • Promotion of equal opportunities.
  • Opportunities to learn and apply cutting-edge technologies.
  • A healthy, communicative, and open company culture.
  • A stimulating environment with global clients, prioritizing work-life balance with flexible hours.
