Descripción del empleo

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.

My client is a leader in disruptive video content delivery technology (MultiCDN) solutions used by streaming and broadcasting organizations worldwide. They are looking to expand their team by hiring a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for Cloud Infrastructures, combining software and systems engineering to build and operate large-scale, distributed systems. The cloud engineer (SRE) is a key role in their growing Cloud platform. The role is remote, within 2-3 hours of CET, with flexibility in start times, aligning with the team’s 9am WET start.

Remote work is fully supported, especially during these times, with an option to relocate to Tenerife, Spain, if preferred.

Position details:

Join a company with innovative products in content delivery and media streaming. The company is expanding internationally beyond Tenerife (Canary Islands) to serve global customers. Growing from a startup, they are seeking talented individuals to join their engineering team, working with top industry clients and planning new product launches.

This is a full-time remote position with flexible work schedules, offering a competitive edge in the industry.

What you will find in this position

We seek a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, develop, and maintain infrastructure supporting various workloads in a cloud environment. You will manage key product lifecycle components, from code to production environment, building automated solutions to support development and operations. Applying SRE principles, you will identify system weaknesses, prevent issues, and utilize monitoring data and modern technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Support integration and testing of system components, developing infrastructure and automation (GitLab CI, CI/CD, Terraform with AWS).
  • Improve monitoring solutions for cloud environments, automating alerts and triggers.
  • Investigate and resolve issues across infrastructure, code, configurations, and data.
  • Document and share knowledge within the team.
  • Stay updated with the latest SRE/DevOps tools and strategies.

What we expect from you

  • 2–4 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
  • Solid experience with AWS.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (preferably Terraform).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with source control (Git, GitLab).
  • Support for security best practices (IAM, secrets management, VPC).
  • Design and implement reliable cloud architectures with minimal downtime (Blue/Green, Canary).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Incident response experience and postmortem participation.
  • Knowledge of GO or PYTHON.
  • Understanding of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Proactive in improving workflows.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Team player and challenge-oriented mindset.

While the position is remote with flexible hours, some synchronization with the team is required, typically between 09:00 and 13:00 WET.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with serverless AWS services (Cognito, Lambdas, AppSync, CloudFront, S3).
  • Experience with open-source databases/message brokers (Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Security and performance testing experience.
  • Container technologies (ECS, EKS, Docker).
  • Contributions to security or observability initiatives.
  • Experience with large-scale system design and operation, Kubernetes.

We recognize expertise in some areas and interest in others; no candidate is expected to excel in all.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary.
  • Promotion of equal opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies.
  • Healthy, open, and collaborative company culture.
  • Flexible working hours and a stimulating international environment.
