Job Description
AgileEngine, recognized as one of the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies in the US and a top-3 ranked dev shop by Clutch, specializes in creating award-winning custom software solutions across multiple industries. We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (Middle) based in Madrid, Spain, with EU work permit required.

Responsibilities

1. Operate and support cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, networking, security).
2. Support deployments in staging and production environments.
3. Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
4. Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform.
5. Configure and manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
6. Support customer-facing EHR integrations, including VPN setup, SFTP configuration, and Mirth-to-IRIS migrations (training provided).
7. Participate in incident detection, diagnosis, resolution, and post-mortem processes.
8. Monitor systems and respond to alerts using observability tools like New Relic or Wavefront.
9. Collaborate with software engineering, QA, and DevOps teams.
10. Participate in on-call rotations with a global team.
11. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and GDPR regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
• Strong understanding of VPN tunneling, SFTP, and networking.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitLab pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash or Python.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive and responsible attitude.
• Participation in incident response and alerting systems.
• Willingness to collaborate on EHR integration tasks.
• Growth mindset in technical skills.
• Work a Panama schedule with 8-hour shifts and on-call duties 2–3 days per week, including every other weekend.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Mirth and IRIS platforms.
• Experience with Bitbucket, Codefresh, or Ansible.
• Background in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security best practices.
