Job Description:

As a Site Reliability Engineer – GCP, you’ll be responsible for managing and optimizing our infrastructure in the cloud (Google Cloud), automating key processes, and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems. Your expertise will have a direct impact on how our platforms perform and scale. You'll work cross-functionally with teams across Development, BI, and Security, applying best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and systems administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform and GCP services.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
  • Automate deployment, testing, and operational workflows using scripting (Shell, Groovy, and optionally Python or PowerShell).
  • Manage services within Google Cloud such as Cloud Run, Firebase, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud IAM, Kubernetes (GKE), and BigQuery.
  • Oversee security practices: SSL/TLS certificates, KMS, IAM roles, and Cloud Armor.
  • Administer and optimize UNIX/Linux systems.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with development and data teams to improve platform reliability and automation.
  • Maintain tools like SonarQube, Dependency Track, and Nexus.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience as an SRE, SysAdmin, or DevOps Engineer in cloud environments.
  • Strong experience with GCP (Cloud Run, Compute Engine, IAM, Firestore, BigQuery, GKE, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Terraform.
  • Advanced Jenkins skills.
  • Scripting skills in Shell and Groovy (required); Python or PowerShell (nice to have).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix or BSD systems.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VPCs, route tables, DNS, and firewalls.
  • Experience with SSL/TLS, IAM, and KMS for security.
  • Familiarity with Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), BigQuery, and Firestore.
  • Experience with tools like SonarQube, Dependency Track, and Nexus.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with packaging tools (Maven, npm).
  • Experience in high-traffic web environments.
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools (Ansible, Helm).
  • Programming beyond scripting (e.g., Python).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Stackdriver, Grafana, or Prometheus.
