Job summary

WebBeds is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to ensure availability, performance and reliability of our platforms. You will work across development and infrastructure teams to monitor production environments and troubleshoot issues.

You will automate, improve monitoring, and implement modern engineering practices while balancing rapid delivery with reliability. A 3-year track record in SRE and hands-on experience with Go, C/C++, cloud platforms, Linux, Docker and Kubernetes are

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
• Proficient in Go, C, C++, Rust or Python and modern cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Modernise legacy applications: transform them into modern technology.
• Run the production environment: monitor availability and system health, keep critical services running to minimise downtime.
• Build platform systems to manage infrastructure and applications.
• Improve reliability and delivery: balance speed with reliability and define service level objectives.
• Measure and optimise performance: analyse metrics for tuning and fault finding.
• Provide operational support for multiple software applications.
• Partner with development teams to improve services and support troubleshooting.
• Contribute to design and planning: assist with system design and capacity planning.
• Automate for sustainability: create automated, scalable systems.
• Collaborate across teams to align on support and processes.
