Job summary

SITA is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability across our products, ensuring high performance and minimal disruption. You will identify root causes, implement automation, and coordinate with Product and Engineering teams to prevent incidents.

In this role, you will define SLIs/SLOs, lead problem and event management, and mentor teams on zero-downtime deployment strategies. A strong SRE background and cloud/container experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years in IT operations, service management, or infrastructure management including roles like SRE/Problem Manager/DevOps Manager.
• Proven experience managing high-availability systems and ensuring operational reliability.
• Extensive RCA, incident management, and permanent solutions for recurring disruptions.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and IaC.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration to improve processes and delivery.
• Experience deploying, risk assessment, and optimization of event and problem management.
• Familiarity with cloud, containers, scalable architectures, zero-downtime deployments.

Responsibilities

• Define, build, and maintain support systems for high availability and performance.
• Handle complex cases for the PSO.
• Automate provisioning, self-healing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Perform incident response and RCA for critical failures.
• Monitor performance; establish SLIs and SLOs.
• Collaborate to integrate reliability best practices and zero-downtime deployments.
• Identify and remediate performance issues.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to improve service performance.
• Ensure Operations readiness for new products.
• Accountable for in-scope product availability and performance.
