Job summary

WebBeds is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the availability, performance and reliability of its platforms. You will monitor production environments, troubleshoot complex issues and drive improvements through automation and modern engineering practices.

The role requires hands-on expertise with containers, Kubernetes, cloud platforms and Linux, with a proactive, learning mindset and a passion for scalable travel tech.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related technical field is preferred.
• Proficiency with Go, C, C++, Rust or Python for tooling and automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and Linux systems.
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes and related tooling.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning and monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Modernise legacy applications and transform them to modern tech.
• Run the production environment and keep services healthy and available.
• Build platform systems to manage infrastructure and apps.
• Improve reliability, delivery speed and define service level objectives.
• Measure performance and perform tuning based on metrics.
• Provide operational support for multiple software applications.
• Collaborate with development teams for smoother releases and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to system design, capacity planning and platform management.
• Automate processes to increase sustainability and reduce toil.
• Collaborate across IT teams and the wider business for aligned support.
