Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your signalling expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside proactive and cooperative teammates.
You'll analyze the input needs (external or internal) and requirements, and design the solution by re-using existing solutions (contracts context) or by developing a new solution or adapting an existing one. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (project management), formalize and maintain the system specifications (operational, functional, and constructional), application rules, and supporting processes descriptions and their associated verification, validation and assessments and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of analyzing the input needs (external or internal) and requirements, and designing the solution by re-using existing solutions, or by developing a new solution, or adapting an existing one, but also ensuring proper integration of subsystems and external stakeholders, in order to provide fluidity in the implementation of the delivered System (project technical solution).
We’ll look to you for:
- Formalize and maintain the system specifications (operational, functional, and constructional), application rules, and supporting processes descriptions and their associated verification, validation and assessments.
- Contribute to the project deployment strategy, defining the baselining of the Project at system level.
- Apply process, methods and tools as referenced by the project plans
- Contribute to the system design and specification according to the deployment strategy established in the Project Engineering Management Plan
- Identify, analyze, clarify and correctly allocate of customer requirements.
- Contribution to gap analysis between tender solution and customer requirements.
- Define System and provide guidelines for Sub-Subsystems implementation rules in line with system requirements.
- Manage properly changes and associated impacts. Ensure that the system technically fulfils the defined needs and enhancements (change requests) and that a proper system engineering approach is being followed.
- Definition of HW and SW products system configuration.
- Design for safety (when required) and RAM compliance.
- Coordinate with subsystem technical leaders, RAM, safety, V&V project teams, and product development teams, to ensure specifications completeness and acceptance.
- Organize, conduct, and/or participate to technical reviews (design reviews, document reviews) including consultation to end-users, experts, according to specific needs and domains competencies relevance
- Participate to the material selection and procurement activities as required for the system delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement (Return of Experience process, …).
- Management of product/subsystem suppliers. Requirement specification, Clause by Clause, and deliverables follow-up.
- Coordinate with project team members to implement design and work through design revisions
- Ensures traceability through-out the formal documentation, up to the input needs (input specifications, change requests)
- Ensures verifications (document reviews, peer reviews) of system specifications
- Produce the Customer Requirements Specification and the requirement capture file including the requirements allocation to the subsystems.
- Elaborate the System Design of the Project. Define the System Architecture for different scopes and technical solutions.
- Release Interfaces Management Matrix, to define and manage the external and internal interfaces (between Sub-Systems, Sub-contractors, Products).
- Define Functional Specification and Operation Context Description.
- Formalize and maintain the system specification (Operational Context Description, Requiements Specification, Architecture Definition, Interfaces Definition, etc), according to applicable templates content.
- Contribute to the definition and maintenance of the System Baselines, analyze and implement Change Requests.
- Put work deliverables under configuration management. Sustains the system according to Change Requests (evolutions and anomalies)

- 5 years experienced previous in similar position
- Previous experience working on cross-functional teams
- Previous rail industry experience is desirable, particularly in signalling projects execution.
- Knowledge on Engineering tasks to be performed
- System Engineering knowledge
- High English levelis a must
- Fluent in French isdesirable
