Suominen Corporation is seeking a proactive professional to lead and manage a production shift, ensuring safety, sustainability, quality, and throughput. You will coordinate with maintenance and other functions to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing while following established procedures.

The role requires hands-on leadership, attendance management, and collaboration with process engineering, QA, and planning to meet deadlines and optimize operations.

Formación

• Professional training in mechanics or electricity, or 2 years of experience in continuous production processes.
• 2 years of experience in continuous production processes.
• Knowledge of Chain of Custody and forklift license.
• Basic computer skills for production data and reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Act as a safety role model by supporting safety initiatives and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Lead the assigned shift to meet performance goals and deadlines.
• Assign tasks, provide direction, and monitor work.
• Coordinate with process engineering, QA, and production planning to align objectives.
• Maintain attendance records for production operators.
• Review quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Recommend and support process or equipment improvements.
• Maintain production control parameters, monitoring, and reporting.
• Lead shift meetings related to production.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of safety, efficiency, and workflow.
• Support preventive maintenance and asset optimization.
• Implement and ensure adherence to Core Operating Principles.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

• Act as a safety role model by supporting safety initiatives, including involving and engaging production operators and other employees to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure full compliance with all policies, procedures, and practices related to Safety, Quality, and Environment.
• Lead the assigned shift to meet performance goals and production deadlines.
• Assign specific tasks, provide direction, and monitor work.
• Interact and cooperate with process engineering, quality assurance, production planning, etc., to align goals and establish priorities.
• Manage attendance records for production operators (clock-ins/outs).
• Review and respond promptly to quality issues and facilitate corrective actions.
• Recommend and support process/equipment improvements.
• Maintain production control parameters, monitoring, and reporting.
• Lead or facilitate shift meetings related to production.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Safety, Efficiency, and Workflow to enhance overall performance.
• Support preventive maintenance and optimization of assets.
• Implement and ensure adherence to the Core Operating Principles.
